A hereditary dragon power in Rikyava’s bloodline — rare, ancient, and so overwhelming it requires multiple bonded mates to control safely. It gives Rikyava abilities unique among Blood Dragons, and makes her both extremely powerful and extremely targeted.

What is Bone Magic?
The opposing dark force in the series: forbidden magic that can create and control undead creatures, including the Black Dragon of All Souls — an ancient, massive undead dragon being weaponized against Rikyava’s clan. Her family crest is implicated in its creation, making her personally connected to the central threat.

Why does the magic require multiple mates?
The Bloodwalker power is too large for one bond to stabilize. The mythology of the series establishes that a Bloodwalker needs multiple anchor bonds to wield her full power without it consuming her. This is the in-world reason for the reverse harem — it’s not arbitrary.
